Gambana runs 24/7 live chat, email support and a searchable help centre. In our tests a human agent joined live chat in under two minutes. That is useful, but many deposit and withdrawal problems can be fixed before you contact anyone, because they come from the same few causes: verification, bonus terms, bank settings or payment method rules.
Below we cover how to contact the team, then each common problem with the likely cause and the fix.
How to contact Gambana support
| Channel | Availability | Typical response | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Live chat | 24/7 | Human agent in under 2 minutes (our tests) | Urgent payment or login issues |
| 24/7 | 2–6 hours | Document queries, detailed cases, anything you want in writing | |
| Help centre | Always on | Instant (self-service) | Limits, bonus rules, payment method details |
| Phone | Not offered | — | — |
Live chat is the quickest route for most problems. Use email when you need a written record, for example before a formal complaint.
Deposit declined
A declined deposit usually comes from your bank or payment provider, not from Gambana. Check these in order.
Debit card blocks
Gambana accepts Visa and Mastercard debit cards only. Credit cards are not accepted for gambling in the UK, so a credit card will always be declined. Some debit cards, including certain prepaid and business cards, may also be refused by the issuer.
Bank gambling blocks
Many UK banks and app-based accounts let you switch on a gambling block. If you set one up, card payments to Gambana will be declined until you remove it. Most banks apply a cooling-off period of 48 hours or more before a block can be lifted. That delay is deliberate, and we suggest you keep the block if you set it up for a reason.
Name mismatch
The name on your payment method must match the name on your Gambana account. Payments from a partner’s card or a shared e-wallet will be declined or held.
Limits
Check three kinds of limit:
- Your own deposit limit at Gambana. If you have reached it, deposits will fail until the period resets. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately; raising one has a 24-hour cooling-off period.
- Bank or e-wallet limits on daily spending.
- Minimum deposit: £10 for most methods, £20 for bank transfer. Paysafecard is deposit-only.
Deposit not showing in your balance
Card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Trustly and e-wallet deposits normally appear straight away. If one has not:
- Refresh the cashier or log out and back in.
- Check your bank app. A “pending” entry with no completed payment means the deposit did not go through, and the hold will usually drop off within a few working days.
- For bank transfers, allow processing time and check you used the exact payment reference shown in the cashier.
- If money has left your account and is still missing after an hour, contact live chat with the transaction details listed further down this page.
Withdrawal pending or held
A withdrawal held in “pending” is usually caused by one of five things.
Incomplete KYC
UK rules require age and identity checks before you play, and Gambana may ask for more documents before paying out. If your verification is incomplete, the withdrawal waits. Our KYC guide lists the accepted documents and common rejection reasons.
Active bonus with wagering still to complete
If a bonus is active and wagering is not finished, withdrawing will forfeit the bonus and any bonus winnings. Your real-money balance stays yours. See bonus issues and wagering requirements for how the balances work.
Closed-loop rule
Anti-money-laundering rules mean withdrawals go back to the method you deposited with wherever possible. If you deposited by card and try to withdraw to a different e-wallet, the request may be held or redirected. Paysafecard cannot receive withdrawals, so another verified method will be needed.
Source-of-funds and affordability checks
Larger deposits or withdrawals can trigger checks on where your money comes from or whether your spending is affordable. You may be asked for payslips or bank statements. These checks are a regulatory requirement, and replying quickly is the fastest way to clear them.
Weekend and bank holiday processing
Debit card and bank transfer payouts are counted in working days. A withdrawal approved on Friday evening may not reach your bank until Tuesday or Wednesday.
Withdrawal timescales by method
These timescales apply after KYC is complete and the withdrawal has been approved.
| Method | Minimum withdrawal | Typical timescale | Fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| PayPal, Skrill, Neteller | £10 | 0–24 hours | None |
| Trustly (open banking), Rapid Transfer, Revolut | £10 | 0–24 hours | None |
| Visa / Mastercard debit | £10 | 1–3 working days | None |
| Bank transfer | £10 | 1–3 working days | None |
| Paysafecard | Deposit only | — | — |
Standard accounts have a weekly withdrawal limit of £10,000. Higher VIP tiers get higher limits and faster processing. See our VIP guide for details.
Cancelled or reversed withdrawals
If a withdrawal shows as cancelled:
- You want to cancel it. UK rules stop operators from letting you reverse a withdrawal back into your balance to keep playing, so plan withdrawals carefully. If you feel the urge to undo a payout, that can be a sign of chasing losses. A deposit limit or a time-out from responsible gambling can help.
- Gambana cancelled it. The usual reasons are failed verification, a name mismatch or a closed-loop conflict. The funds go back to your balance, and support can tell you which method to use instead.
- The payment bounced. Incorrect bank details or a closed card account can cause a returned payment. Update your details and request the withdrawal again.
Account restrictions
An account can be restricted while documents are outstanding, during source-of-funds or affordability reviews, or if terms appear to have been breached. A restriction may also be a safer gambling tool you set yourself, such as a time-out or self-exclusion. Those cannot be reversed early, and Gambana support will not lift them.
If you do not know why your account is restricted, ask support for the reason in writing.
How to write an effective support message
A clear first message saves several rounds of back-and-forth. Include:
- Your Gambana username or registered email address (never your password)
- The date, time and amount of the transaction
- The payment method and the last four digits of the card, or the e-wallet email
- The transaction or reference ID from the cashier
- Screenshots of any error message or bank statement entry
- A short description of what you expected and what actually happened
Keep your messages factual and save copies. If the issue becomes a formal complaint, that record will matter.
Complaints and ADR escalation
If support cannot resolve the issue, follow these steps:
- Raise it with support through live chat or email, and keep a copy.
- Use Gambana’s formal complaints process, which is described in its terms. Say clearly that you are making a formal complaint.
- Escalate to ADR. If the complaint is not resolved within 8 weeks, you can take it to the independent alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider named in Gambana’s terms. This is usually an IBAS-type service. ADR is free for players.
Gambana’s licence details are shown in the footer of its website. Our terms explain how this guide site relates to the operator.
Gambling is for adults aged 18+ only. Treat it as paid entertainment, and if payment issues are leading you to deposit more to “fix” things, take a break. The National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133, 24/7.
FAQ
How fast does Gambana live chat respond?
In our tests a human agent joined in under two minutes, at any time of day. Email replies usually take 2–6 hours.
Why is my Gambana withdrawal still pending?
The usual causes are incomplete verification, an active bonus with unfinished wagering, a closed-loop payment method conflict, or a source-of-funds check. Card and bank payouts also take 1–3 working days after approval.
Can I withdraw to a different method than I deposited with?
Usually not. Anti-money-laundering rules mean withdrawals return to the deposit method where possible. Paysafecard is the main exception, because it is deposit-only.
What if Gambana does not resolve my complaint?
Use the formal complaints process. If the complaint is still unresolved after 8 weeks, take it to the independent ADR provider named in Gambana’s terms, which is free for players.
